Sacred Spaces
Date: 2020
I drew these in 2020 because I was daydreaming of far away places during lockdown, but also because these places are important to me.
I wanted them too look like a stained glass window to capture that sacred feel.
Arizona
I low-key miss that feeling of 122°F and even your eyes feel hot. If you know, you know. If you don't—make sure you don't touch the metal part of your seat belt with your bare skin.
I drew the Phoenix desert with Camelback Mountain, the wildflowers on Glassford Hill of Prescott Valley, and the San Fransisco peaks of Flagstaff.
Xi'an, China
I don't miss the air pollution. But Xi'an was an adventure and I grew a lot there. I miss the abundance of delicious, cheap noodles.
